Major Weather Patterns

Picture
Precipitation varies because of the mid-latitudes and the year-round influence of the polar front. Polar-type air masses collide with tropical type air masses causing uplift of the less dense and moister tropical air resulting in precipitation. The avergae temperature in winter is below freezing. The avergae Summer temperature is 75°(24°C). The weather changes so much that there are four distinct seasons.
